The process is described step by step.

Turn on the ignition and start the engine. Insert the USB.
Go to 'Menu -> Navi -> Map Data' and select the 'Update Data' option.
Wait until the data has been read.
You see a confirmation that the new map version has been found and is ready to install.
Next, you will be asked for a license code. Enter the code you received from us and select 'Ok'.
Select 'Yes' to start the software update.
Wait until the software update is complete.
Turn off the ignition and start it again so that the engine keeps running.
Wait until the new software version has been initialized.
The map data update is starting now.
You can view the progress in the 'Map Details' section in 'Menu -> Navi -> Map Details'.
When the update is complete, the dialog box is displayed asking you to restart the vehicle.
Turn the ignition off and turn it back on.
Go to 'Menu -> Navi -> Map' details to check if the new version is installed.
The update is now complete, and you can remove the USB stick.
